I was confrontedn this morning with issue while i was installing Mysql on FreeBSD 12 . i how this message. bellow
This problem can also happen while adding normal users.
The Solution is found on FreeBSD forums
The databases are out of sync. to fix this issue Run thos command
sudo /usr/sbin/pwd_mkdb -p /etc/master.passwd
Now trying again
Voila its fixed .
